Fri. Jan. 1, 1904 F. Clinger & I pulled up the pump at the new barn & put it in again in the fore noon. The boys cleaned out the stables. Fred Clinger, Charley Clinger & John Wallace & I went rabbit hunting. Caught seven.
Sat. Jan. 2, 1904 Snow. 18 above. I chored & stratened up my last year book account.
Sun. Jan. 3, 1904 6 below. We went to Sunday School. They reorganized today.
Mon. Jan. 4, 1904 10 below. I took the children to school. Will Gochenhour came up. I paid him $10.50 the ballance I owed him. Millard Wallace was here to see Ezras colt. He went over to see Corrells steer. Fred Clinger & I went hunting.
Tues. Jan. 5, 1904 Zero. I took the children to school. Came home & went down to the Irvin Farm & got a load of wood. I tried to buy a hog of Shan. Couldent buy it. Came home & done the chores.
Wed. Jan. 6, 1904 Warmer. I butchered a 180 lb hog today. My self made 4 gal of lard & some sausage. Brosha Bowers & Mary Banks was here today.
Thurs. Jan. 7, 1904 Will Gochenhour helped me hall fodder today. Dr to him for the same. He said to let it go on his rent.
Fri. Jan. 8, 1904 I chored & cleaned out the henhouse & stables.
Sat. Jan. 9, 1904 Bill Gochenhour helped me hall fodder today. To go on his rent.
Sun. Jan. 10, 1904 We went tup to Sunday School. I gave S. Wolf $2 for missions.
Mon. Jan. 11, 1904 Fine. I put Clide around in the box stall. He was down this morning & I had to help him up. He is off in his hip. I went down to Phhil Bankses & bought 5 Pm Rock Roosters for Mom. She payed $2.25 for them. Sent the money down with John Banks in the evening.
Tues. Jan. 12, 1904 Lib & I helped L. Corrells butcher 5 hogs & 1 beef.
Wed. Jan. 13, 1904 Snowing. I chored. Took the children to school & went after them. I got 41 lb of beef front quarter of F. Correll. John Harman was up to buy wool of me. Dident sell any.
Thurs. Jan. 14, 1904 Cold. I took the children to school & chored. I made a gate for the lane by the corn crib. Went after the children.
Fri. Jan. 15, 1904 Cold. 4 Above. I took the children to school. Cleaned out the stables & went after the children in the evening.
Sat. Jan. 16, 1904 I fixed the south side of the old barn. The boys halled a load of wood in the fore noon. They went over to Hughes & Millards to let them know about Jordon being berried tomorrow.
Sun. Jan. 17, 1904 I was at home all day. Lib & the rest of the folks went to Sunday School.
Mon. Jan. 18, 1904 I took the children to school & chored the ballance of the day. Nellans was here from Mentone to see about cattle. Was here for dinner. Went from here to Art Anglins.
Tues. Jan. 19, 1904 I chored. I took the children to school & went after them in the evening.
Wed. Jan. 20, 1904 I took the children to school. Came home & finished the chores, then went & tracked a skunk in a hole in F. Clingers field. Went over to Corrells & them & I dug 2 skunk out of the hole, I tracked the one in. F. Correll paid me $20.00 thrasher money.
Thurs. Jan. 21, 1904 I took the children to school. Came home & chored. I sided up a window in the north side of the Grange Hall. 
Fri. Jan. 22, 1904 I took the children to school. H. bowers was over. He paid me thrasher money $32.49
Sat. Jan. 23, 1904 Fine snow. I & Lib went to Warsaw. I left $50.00 at the State Bank for J. W. Swihart to pay for the huller. Paid insurance $4.75.
Sun. Jan. 24, 1904 Zero. Snow. At home all day. 
Mon. Jan. 25, 1904 Zero. I took the children to school & done the chores & went after the children.
Tues. Jan. 26, 1904 4 above. I took the children to school & chored. Went after them in the evening. I halled a load of wood from the Irvin farm.
Wed. Jan. 27, 1904 Cold. Zero. I took the children to school & went after them. Chored & went down to the Irvin farm and got a load of wood.
Thurs. Jan. 28, 1904 I helped B. Gochenhour butcher. John came down after me. We brought a load of wood home with us. 
Fri. Jan. 29, 1904 Cold. Lib & I went to Warsaw. Conrad put a new tung in my bobs. Paid him $2.00. Paid the Globe 50 cts for me a cap.
Sat. Jan. 30, 1904 I butchered a beef today. F. Clinger helped me. I took the hide & 3 pelts over to F. Funks. Got 6 cts per lb for hide, $3.42 & $1.75 for pelts. The boys took F. Corrells 41 lb of beef front qtr.
Sun. Jan. 31, 1904 We went to Sunday School.
